Justice for the Word of God

“This is what the Lord says- Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty:
I am the first and the last; apart from me there is no Justice. Who then is Justice like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare it and lay out before me what has happened since I established my ancient people, and what is yet to come- yes let him foretell what is to come. Do not tremble, do not be afraid. Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago?
You are my witnesses. Is there any Justice besides me? No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.” (Is 44:6)
“I am the Lord, and there is no other. I have not spoken in secret, from somewhere in a land of darkness; I have not said to Jacob’s descendants, “Seek Justice in vain’. I, the Lord, speak the truth; I declare what is right” (Is 45:18)
“Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am Justice, and there is no other.” (Is 45:22)
“Remember this, fix it in your mind, take it to heart, you rebels. Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am Justice and there is no other; I am Justice and there is none like me.” (Is 46:9)
“Hear O Israel, the Lord our Justice, the Lord is one.” (Mk 12:29)
“Love the Lord your Justice with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” (Matt 22:37)
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you give Justice a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of Justice.” (Lk 11:42)
“I hold this against you. You have forsaken your first love. Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first.” (Rev 2:4)
“The time has come. The kingdom of Justice is near. Repent and believe the good news.” (Mk 1:5)
“Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our Justice, and the authority of His Christ.” (Rev 12:10)
“Praise our Justice, all you His servants, you who fear Him, both great and small!” (Rev 19:5)

Amen Holy Spirit!

Let it be known that the Son of Man was not appointed a judge or an arbiter between men (Lk 12:14) – but He is the judge or an arbiter between God and men. For when we sin, we do not sin against each other, but against God alone- against Justice, against Truth, against Love, against the Holy Spirit - do we sin. The Father says we are unfaithful to Him when we sin by deceiving our neighbour about something entrusted to us, or if we commit any such sin that people may do (Lev 6:1). For Jesus did not come to set things right between man and man, but between mankind and God. He did so by giving us the glory that He had with the Father for all have fallen short of the glory of God, as we have deterred and set off-course the plans the Father had for Himself by committing violations and sinning unintentionally in regards to His holy things. But to give us the glory and for us to receive it from Him in its fullness, He had to come as the Word of God, the Truth of God, that we may see and believe it, accept and repent, step into it and grow in it - so that what belongs to God but are still lost to Him may not only be recouped, but restitution be made in full- that we may add value to it and give it all to our high priest who has made atonement for us with His own blood (Lev 5:14).

But the justice the Father dreams about and longs to exercise is not the type which exists between man and man, nor between God and man, but it is justice between the Lord, the Lord and the Lord. When pure and holy justice is administered between themselves for themselves: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That is the fine pearl of justice they seek- for that justice alone is noble in character, true in word, perfect in gracious beauty and eternal in love.

See how the Holy Spirit and the Father together love justice for their Jesus- the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus like a dove as heaven was torn open. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.” (Mk 1:11)

Listen to how the Father and Jesus love justice for the Holy Spirit- “I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.” (Mk 3)

Hear how Jesus, at His final hour when darkness has come over the whole land, when the sun has stopped shining because His God has forsaken Him, loves justice for the Father and the Holy Spirit- for He says, “Father, into your hands, I commit my spirit” (Lk 23:46) - for who does His spirit belong to, if not the Father and the Holy Spirit?

Now hear the words of the Lord who wants us to join and unite with this perfect circle of love of justice between the Holy Trinity- to involve us in the exercise of justice that cannot be tainted, no matter how hard men try to trample it underfoot or deny its sovereignty- to delight in the love of justice which is of an eternal beauty that is out of this world and beyond our wildest dreams- to burn with passionate desire to see manifest the glory which the harvests of the resurrected fruits of justice produce- these are the words which flowed from the heart of our Father to the lips of our brother that express His wish for us to return to Him in love and justice: “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you… Receive the Holy Spirit.” (Jn 20:21)- A sentence which includes all four persons of the Trinity, with the resurrected breath of life injected in between. It is the epitome of the Father’s relationship with Jesus, our relationship with Jesus, the Father’s relationship with us because of Jesus, the Father’s relationship with His Spirit, and the Holy Spirit’s relationship with us through Jesus.

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him (Jn 3:17). He was sent to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour and the day of vengeance of our God (Is 61). The Father sent forth His light- which is His justice to the nations (Is 51:4) - and His Truth – which is His Word beheld in Jesus and who isiHiJesus our Lord our Saviour (Psa 43:3).

For what was denied justice since the foundation of the world- held captive in man’s idle words and futile imaginations, imprisoned in the darkness of sinking swamps of doubt and insolence, and broken-hearted by rejection and disobedience is the Word of God. Eve doubted God’s word, and so do we. Adam disobeyed God’s word, and so do we. And where the Word of God was not denied justice, justice was perverted - by twisting the truth, hijacking it with greed and lust, mixing it with traditions and philosophies, by being seen as powerless and defiled, outdated and redundant- by doing all types of violation to the Word of God, except holding it in revere and respect, reading it and eating it, loving it and practising it, keeping it close in your heart as the heavenly focus of your earthly life.

When we violate the Word of God - the holy property of God entrusted to us from the Lord - and sin against it: when we steal it for ourselves (Ex 22:3) - let our words steal and graze into it (Ex 22:5) - start a fire to destroy it (Ex 22:6) - put it in harm’s way when it is given to us for safekeeping (Ex 22:12, 14) - fail to do anything in regard to the holy things in His Word (Lev 5:16) - lie or cheat or deceive in regards to anything about all property in His Word such as power, truth, mercy, justice and love (Lev 6:5) - when we eat a sacred offering by mistake and desecrate the flesh and blood of the Lamb (Lev 22:14) - and when we take the life of someone’s animal- which is their faith in the Word of God that they live by and are atoned by (for the Israelites sustained themselves by the animals they kept and take them from the flock to sacrifice to the Lord) - restitution must be made in full. The Word of God, the Word of Justice commands that restitution be made in full to the person we sin against, which is the Lord the Lord and the Lord, and the penalty be made to our high priest Jesus, who makes atonement for us. And Justice has commanded that we make restitution in full to the Word of God, to the Truth, which we have sinned against time and time again. To do that, we would have to realise our sin against the Word of God, repent and strive to give back to it what we have taken from it in our state of self-righteousness - may it be respect, power, kindness, affection, focus, practice, trust, time, love - and add at least a fifth more of value to it and give it all back to Jesus.

Jesus said, “If you hold on to my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free… So if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed” (John 8:34). But did He just come to set us free by His teachings - would it have been too small a thing for Him to restore the tribes of Israel and bring those back the Father has kept (Is 49:6)? Rather, was Jesus not sent to bring His salvation to the ends of the earth?

He came to set the Truth free, to release the Word of God and deliver justice unto the Truth in a way we never could. The Truth set the truth free, and by His own word - it is done. The Lord came to proclaim to the Word of God the year of the Lord’s favour of it, for the Word of God did grow up in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and men (Lk 2:52). And He came to proclaim the day of vengeance of our God, for He did set in place the measuring line by which men will have to give an account on the day of judgment for every careless and idle word they have spoken - For by our own words we will be acquitted, and by our own words we will be condemned (Mt 12:36). It is the day of judgment which belongs to the Lord, a day of vengeance that belongs to the Lord Almighty (Jer 46:10) - It is His to avenge, He will repay (Deut 32:35). It is the day which the Lord calls for full restitution as required by His law that He may enter a new covenant with us, in the same way a lender will make a call on a loan with principal and full interest to end a current agreement. He will take vengeance in anger and wrath upon the nations that have not obeyed Him (Mic 5:15). Our nakedness, our lack of shame of distorting the words of the living God will be exposed and uncovered- He will take His vengeance for His Word and He will spare no one (Is 47:3). These things we have done to it and He has kept silent- did we think that the “I AM” was altogether like us? (Psa 50:21). He must release justice and the love of justice from His heart and exercise it by punishing us for our sins 7 times over for each of the time we have sinned against the sevenfold Spirit of God, for the words Jesus spoke to us are spirit and they are life. He will take vengeance on us for the sake of His Name, the Name He gave His Son and the power of His Name which is the Holy Spirit, and do to us as we have done to the Word of God right there in the temple which does bear His Name. He has kept this in reserve and sealed it in His vaults, and He has set the day which He will call upon them (Deut 32:35), and He will take vengeance on His adversaries and repay those who hate the Word of God.

Eternal life calls for Truth - Truth calls for Love - Love calls for Justice - Justice calls for Judgment - and Judgment calls for restitution. It is all about justice for Jesus - justice for the Resurrection - justice for the way and the truth and the life - justice for the Word of God - justice for love - justice for Justice. We are to make restitution for the way we have ill-treated the Word of God - His Son when the Father had entrusted Him into this world - when we gladly nailed an innocent man to the cross for our sins. Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but if we had any love of Justice in our hearts for the living sacrifice made in atonement of our sins, we could have acknowledged it by spreading our cloaks on the Lord’s road to Calvary, cutting branches from the trees and spread them on the road- shouting “Hosanna in the highest” instead of shaking heads and hurling insults at Him. The Father suffered the deepest dishonour of His love of justice and the most painful cut in His heart when we executed the height of injustice to His Son- and to correct this injustice, restitution will have to be made in full by us. And since we have not, we are going to receive our due punishment for disobedience of the law. All the curses in the law will come upon this generation, and pursue us and overtake us because we did not obey the Lord our God and observe the Word He gave us. This generation will be held responsible for not only the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world, from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary, but the blood of the Son of God which was poured out for the forgiveness of our sins. If someone who is hung on a tree in under God’s curse, what about the ones who hung an innocent man on a tree? It will take more than restitution - it will be more than life for life.
Make no mistake that the Father is truly ready to do all that His heart desires to bring about Justice for His Son. He has suffered the repercussions of injustice towards Jesus and the Holy Spirit long enough - and let nothing stand in His way of exercising kindness, righteousness and justice for them - for in these He delights - with Jesus He is well pleased. Therefore, repent and live - repent and make your restitution in full now - go, show yourself to Jesus and offer yourself to Him for your cleansing, as a testimony to them. This is the time to make restitution in full in our heart, understanding and spirit, or the Lord will come and weigh us on the scales and we will be found wanting. Do this while our Counsellor is still with us, and our other Counsellor has not come in wrath. Let us commit it in our hearts to bring justice unto the Word of God, and correct ourselves by making restitution in full - to return to the Father what we have stolen from His Word, whether deliberately or unintentionally.

For Israel, it was the Presence of the Holy Spirit and the law which set them apart among the other nations. For the church, it is the power of the Holy Spirit and the royal command which sets it apart from the world. But for us, it’s the spirit of justice and the resolute desire for justice for Jesus that sets the elect apart- even if it costs us everything and men will persecute us and hate us because of the Word of God. Only then will we be another step closer to being the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of Jesus, sustaining all things on earth by His powerful word. Only then will we come to the understanding of God’s dreams about justice for the four persons of the Holy Trinity - not justice which is a reaction to injustice - but pure and holy justice which is a reaction to the love of justice.

Father - do all that you have in mind to bring about justice for Jesus - justice for the departure of the Holy Spirit - justice for His return - justice for the First Resurrection - justice for the Millennial Reign - and most of all - justice for your eternity - your love of life - justice for your dreams and the treasures of your heart – justice for your glory and the radiance of your Word - justice for your love of justice and your delight in it. Justice for all of who you are, Father.
