3rd Fruit - Righteousness

The fruit of Righteousness is what is produced from the gift of Righteousness which comes from Jesus Christ and is His pre-existent and unchangeable right relationship which was there and always is there before the creation of the world – a righteousness that pre-dated the Law and sin; the righteousness that is ours by faith, as a gift from God. By this gift of His righteousness, we are brought into the presence of His holiness, without fear of condemnation because we are there, not by our imperfect self-righteousness which is built upon good works--so that we may taste of the fruit of His righteousness – a fruit whose effect on us – on us as the prophet Isaiah says is: “quietness and confidence forever.”. “the fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.” Isaiah 32:17

The peace which the righteousness of God is, is the knowledge that all your disputes with God are settled – that you have peace with God because you are standing in the righteousness of Christ – AND the righteousness of God reciprocates with His peace - a peace whose effect on your life is to bring you to the place of quietness and confidence.

- Quietness so that you may rest, and in resting draw upon the strength that comes from God and see His salvation. It is the quietness and confidence of that man who has tasted the truth and knows the truth – that through Christ – a sinner, an enemy of God has been reconciled to God forever – not as a reward of his efforts or work – but of an eternal, once given, never withdrawn gift through Jesus Christ. This is the knowledge of His righteousness – the knowing and the tasting of this fruit of Righteousness that brings you to the place of quietness, the quietness of one who knows the beginning and the end, the quietness of the one who knows what is yet to come and also knows he is standing in the place of perfect refuge.

The righteousness of God leaves you standing where everything is right for you as far as God is concerned. It leaves you standing in that one place where: A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. Psalm 91:7,8. It is this righteousness which places you there at the right place at the right time, to be a witness of God’s righteous works; whether it is in judgment or in blessings. It is this righteousness that allows the unimpeded and unlimited flow of the power of God to flow, because you are there as the witness of His righteous judgments – on a sinful, rebellious world.

If the righteousness that protected Noah and Lot – as it is written in 2 Peter 2:4-9 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them into gloomy dungeons to be held for judgment; if He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others; if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by burning them to ashes and made them an example of what is going to happen to the ungodly; and if He rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the filthy lives of lawless men (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard) – if this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue godly men from trials and to hold the unrighteous for the day of judgment, while continuing their punishment.

A righteousness – not of their own doing, but of their own faith as to what they believed to be right before God; for in their days, there was nothing written to guide men to what is right.– If such a righteousness could guard and protect them – how much more, the righteousness that comes from God, that is written and spoken by the Eternal one Himself? – A righteousness that is perfect and enduring! It is the knowledge that you have received such a righteousness, that you will have peace, and experience the quietness as one would experience in the eye of the storm, when everything is raging around you, but yet you stand in the silence of the Lamb of God.

It is this righteousness that allowed Jesus to remain silent before His accusers, because He knew He was where God wanted Him to be: to be God’s witness and to testify according to what He heard and saw. God did not have Jesus stand at a distance watching His trial by remote close circuit TV, but He had Jesus stand there in the midst of the very storm that lashes His body and even killed Him. – But it is this righteousness – the knowing that all things are right, right with God and right where God wants it, that allowed Jesus to go through what He did.

And if we are to do the things Jesus did; then we will have to go through the storm like Jesus did – some of which may even cost us our mortal lives or the parts of our lives that are mortal and are subject to death – such as our relationships with fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters and our livelihoods and careers. It is this knowledge of right standing that will give you the peace and the quietness and the confidence to be in the storm and know that it will not destroy you; but you will be in its midst as you witness and watch the destruction of the wicked. Noah was not taken out of the world, but experienced the horrific effects of the destruction of the world from within the ark; as it was tossed on the waves and the wind. – His old life was destroyed – but as he and his family emerged from that ark his new life began; and nowhere to be found in his new life were those who had accused him or tormented him.

He became the possessor of a New Earth with new skies, or heavens; as we will become possessors of a New Earth with new heavens – and he was the sole custodian of it all the days of his life. There was no one else to drive him off the earth, nor to steal it from him, nor to buy it or repossess it from him.

If that was the effect of Noah’s righteousness on his life--what effect will the righteousness of God, which is perfect and far superior to Noah’s beyond measure, have upon your life?

Proverbs 10:24-25 What the wicked dreads will overtake him; what the righteous desire will be granted. When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone, but the righteous stand firm forever.

Jesus warned us of a storm in Matthew 7:24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the wind blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house and it fell with a great crash.”

What the wicked dreads is the manifestations of God in His full miraculous presence, proving the words of Jesus to be correct and true. What God is about to unleash upon this denying world, is a storm of a proportion unequaled since creation – in which only those who have the power of God flowing through them without limit, shall survive—and more than survive—through that power they will be given front row seats to witness and observe the punishment of the wicked and be witnesses of the righteous judgment of God. This is a storm that will not take away those who are ignorant of the words of Jesus and have never been shown or told about Jesus. No, it is a storm that is to sweep away those who have heard the words of Jesus, and have not put them into practice. Those who have put the words of Jesus into practice will witness those who have not practiced being swept away, for Jesus’ words are truth and they are perfect.

You see—when Jesus offered His words for us to listen and to practice—He did not offer us a way that would lead to perfection with practice—but rather He offered us that which was and is and always will be perfect.—Something that endures even when heaven and earth are swept away as He said: “I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter; not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.” Matthew 5:18 But in Matthew 24:35 Jesus says: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.”

Jesus gave us that which is already eternal—His words—that we may practice the eternal until we master the eternal—not to achieve the eternal we have been given which is and will always be perfect—that which will endure even the passing of heaven and earth—that we may achieve the mastery of that endurance—and since, Jesus has made that claim—it is only right that it be proven. That is why a storm of distress unlike anything since creation will sort out those who have practiced and those who have not. So understand this—it is not the ignorant of the world—those who have never been given the words of Jesus that will be tested—and those who endure to prove Jesus’ words to be true—will be kept to join those who have not denied Him. For the Millennium where their practice of the mastery of Eternity and the words of the Eternal One will be perfected—so that when the hordes of Gog and Magog surrounds the camp of the Lord at Jerusalem—the fire that comes from heaven to melt the elements will be the final proof of the truth of Jesus’ words once and for all.

It is the proving of the words of Jesus that is the right thing for God to do—for after all—God did say; “This is My beloved Son, Listen to Him.” It would not be right if God did not test and approve the truth of all the words of Jesus before witnesses—independent witnesses; witnesses like you and I. And to be witnesses, we must be there to see and observe—and to be able to see and observe the things that God must unleash to prove the words of Jesus, we must have the unlimited power of God to sustain us. —The unlimited power that flows to all who are in the right place at the right time in the things of God and it is only right that God should give all who desire to be the witnesses of Jesus, the full power of Himself—the Fruit of His Righteousness.

AMEN HOLY SPIRIT.
